I wish I had had this kind of advise when I decided to try out a beer making kit bought from the UK. It took a week's hard labor to clean up the mess. I suspect that it was the temperature and something like this could have perhaps helped. I swore off this adventure and have stayed with the canned or bottled stuff since then.
